This assignment I decide to take pictures at my brothers graduation. Some of these images were taking during the ceremony and after. I found a nice place in front of a tree for my brother to stand. I used automatic to see how the aperture and shutter balanced out and, in some, I used sports mode because it made the photo freeze when they were walking. Technical data: Aperture: f/4.5 Shutter speed: 1/400 ISO: 100 What I learned:
I learned that it can be hard to take pictures when there are a lot of people because in some of my photos, there are people in the background which can be good and not so good. Also, since it was inside the lighting was good so it was hard to get the setting straight to have it not too dark or too light. Otherwise, this assignment was fun!

For this assignment, I had to take a picture of the school then pick a theme. My theme was the Jungle so I photoshopped lots of animals into the image. This assignment was to help me learn how to edit photos and use different tools. What I learn:
I learned how to add pictures and edit them to made them fit in. This assignment was really fun because it wasn't too confusing and easy to learn. For Photo 2 I decide to take pictures of nature. I went to different parks to see if there is anything interesting. I found any different types of flowers that bloomed. I liked how the background is blurred out to focus more on the one plant. Technical Data: Aperture: f/6.3 Shutter Speed: 1/3200 ISO: 1000 What I learned:
I keep learning more on the shutter and aperture to focus on one object. I think this assignment was harder because I couldn't find plants and landscapes that looked nice. This assignment was good practice using Manual Mode. For my second shooting assignment I have chosen to focus on the subject of nature and landscape. I am hoping to get better at focusing on one object. Some photographs that I have found online that I will use as inspiration are: I think these are good examples of nature and landscapes. I like how some can be far away or close up. Also, I like how the background can be blurry to focus more the the flowers.
This assignment was to help me understand how to use photoshop by photoshopping a car. I used crop, clone tool, selection tools, levels and layers. Also, this was to show me some basic and advanced editing skills. What I learned:
I learned a lot from this assignment because I have never done anything with photoshop before. I really like the clone tool because it is easy to use and it helps by deleting tiny mistakes. Also, I liked how you can change the background to remove any distractions. This assignment I had to take pictures of an animal. I decide to take pictures of my cat. I had to make sure that I had enough lighting to capture the details of my cats face. And I had to make sure that my shutter speed was high enough so the image would freeze if he moved. Technical Data Aperture: f/4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60 ISO: 6400 What I learned:
I learned that it is very hard to take pictures of a cat that is moving all the time. I had to adjust my cameras aperture and shutter speed to get the right exposure and to freeze the image in case my cat moved. I learned that when you change either the aperture or the shutter speed the other one changes to even it out. This assignment, we had to take a photo so we could learn how to photoshop. We used layers, guides, resize the canvas, threshold dialogs, and anchor layers. There were a lot of instructions to change the original photo to a photo with four different colors in each corner. We had to format the photo is fit in each section by using rulers then change the colors in each photo. What I learned:
I learned how to format a image to make it look sharper so then I could change that image into different colors. Also, I learned that even a tiny detail in the format can change how the whole image looks like in the end. For my first photo shooting assignment I have chosen to focus on the subject of animals.
I am hoping to work on getting better at using aperture and freezing the image when taking pictures of animals. Some photographs that I have found online that I will use as inspiration are by: For this assignment, we had to take different types of pictures to capture different elements like pattern, symmetry, texture, depth of field, rule of 3rds, lines, framing, perspective, space, balanced and color. Pattern Symmetry Texture Depth of Fields Rule of 3rds Lines Framing Perspective Space Balanced Color What I learned
I learned a lot from this assignment. I learned that images has many different ways to capture the main point of view by using perspectives and balance. I learned how to use the grid on the camera to capture the rule of 3rds in a photo. And I learned that light can make the texture in the photo stand out. I am Natalie Malbone. I go to Saline High School. My hobbies are drawing, painting and playing soccer. I play soccer for the Saline Varsity team and for Canton Celtics. I am apart of Key Club and Interact Club. My family consists of my mom, my dad, my older brother, John, and my cat Peanut.
I took this class because I am interested in learning more about cameras and how to use them. My parents have a camera but don't really know how to use it except auto mode so I want to help them learn it too. |
